Life is all but a vast array of Colours – Update

LifeIsAllButAVastArrayOfColours2Do you remember that in November 2012 I released a short poetry ebook entitled ‘Life is all but a vast array of Colours’? It was published in the memory of my step-mum who sadly passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2009. It was published using the KDP programme on Amazon and managed to reach a high of number #11 on the Amazon Poetry best-sellers list.

50% of all royalties (profits) is being donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK – the country’s leading charity to raising money for research and awareness of a the fifth most common cancer that kills people today. To help promote the ebook, i was interviewed for my local newspaper, the Gainsborough Standard (you can check out the article here) as well as appearing live on BBC Radio.

But today – i have some news i’d like to share with you.

Because of the success of the ebook and the kind words of people who have bought this poetry ebook (people who have lost loved ones themselves) i am increasing its reach. Reach? But what does this mean?

Life is all but a vast array of Colours is now not just available from Amazon, it is also available from Lulu and Smashwords! The great thing about these sites is that it offers different file formats than Amazon, meaning if you don’t have a Kindle or Kindle app, you may have a device, e-reader, smart phone etc that will read the ebook.

I have completely reformatted the ebook, making it easier and neater to read and if you have WhisperSync automatic book update turned ON on your Kindle settings, you will automatically get an update if you have already purchased it.

BUT THAT’s NOT ALL – oh no. It has also been submitted to the Nook store and the iBookstore meaning it will also be available to even more readers. How fantastic is that?

THERE’s MORE I HEAR YOU ASK? – oh yes! Cancer is one of the most deadliest illness’ around. Many people lose people every day due to some form of Cancer and even if the victims manage to beat it, their lives will have undoubtedly have been changed somehow. Because 50 % of all royalties will be donated to charity, i have also … finally … made the short poems available in hardcopy form – does that mean a paperback?! Well … yes sort of.

Because the book is extremely short (only two poems) it has resulted in more of a small pocket book or pamphlet style paperback. I have tried to make this paperback as cheap as possible, but obviously manufacturing costs have to be met. The paperback is avalaible from LuLu for just £1.90 in UK currency and the equivalent for the AUS and US currency.

Here is the blurb:

Life is all but a vast array of Colours is a collection of two short poems designed to be read alone. They are short, but hopefully allow your imagination to realise that there are many aspects to this world. The Clock Girl is a poem about abuse, loneliness, despair. Life is all but a vast array of Colours is a poem about life, cycles and ending. By purchasing this short ebook, you are supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK, where 50% of royalties will be donated to the charity.

This is my final goodbye to a special lady who was always kind, loving and supportive of me.
